Brazil beef exports rise 23.9% in February, Secex says

Brazil’s exports of fresh, chilled or frozen beef rose 23.9% in February from the same month a year earlier, totaling 235,890 metric tons, according to data released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services.

The shipments generated $1.331 billion in revenue, a 41.8% increase from the $938 million recorded in February 2025.

The figures reflect 18 working days in February this year, compared with 20 in the same month last year. The average export price reached $5,640.85 per metric ton, up 14.5% from $4,928.22 a year earlier.

Brazil’s exports of poultry meat and edible offal totaled 460,606 tons in February, up 5.5% from 436,586 tons in February 2025. Export revenues rose 9.8%, reaching $856 million compared with $780 million a year earlier.

The average price for poultry exports increased 4.1% year on year to $1,858.16 per ton, up from $1,785.73 in February 2025.

Pork exports totaled 104,320 tons in February, a 3.2% increase from the 101,118 tons shipped in the same month last year. Revenue rose 3.3% to $262 million, compared with $253 million a year earlier.

The average price for pork exports was $2,508.59 per ton, virtually unchanged from $2,506.23 in February 2025.

First two months

Combining the latest data with figures compiled by Agrostat, Brazil exported 494,890 tons of beef in the first two months of 2026, up 17% from 423,000 tons in the same period of 2025.

Export revenues from beef rose 34% over the same period, increasing from $2.034 billion to $2.725 billion.

Chicken exports reached 907,606 tons in the January–February period of 2026, up 2.4% from 886,000 tons a year earlier. Revenues increased 3.3%, from $1.660 billion to $1.714 billion.

Brazil’s pork exports totaled 217,320 tons in the first two months of the year, up 3.0% from the 211,000 tons shipped in January and February 2025. Export revenues rose 5.4%, reaching $529 million compared with $502 million a year earlier.
