Feb, 02, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202205
Brazil’s beef exports increased in January as Chinese purchases resumed. According to the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), 140,500 tonnes of in natura protein were exported last month, a 31% increase over the previous year.
“The Brazilian beef embargo probably caused a drop in Chinese stocks, and with the lunar new year approaching, they needed to replenish them.” “China has resumed importing at a significant pace at the moment,” says Jão Pedro Thieme, an analyst at Ag Resource Brasil.
