Brazil has secured approval for nine new facilities to export gelatin and collagen to Turkey, following on-site audits and a detailed assessment of quality control and production systems.
In December 2025, an official Turkish veterinary mission inspected Brazilian plants in the sector and confirmed the sanitary compliance of national production at three audited units. An additional six facilities, already listed in the European Union’s TRACES system, were included in Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) list based on documentary evaluation.
Registration is carried out through TROIS, a system recently implemented by Turkey that consolidates facilities and countries meeting sanitary requirements for exports of gelatin, collagen, seafood, dairy products and meat.
Currently, TROIS lists 10 facilities authorized to export gelatin and collagen to Turkey, six of which are Brazilian. By product category, four facilities are approved to export only gelatin, including two from Brazil, while four are authorized to export only collagen, one of them Brazilian.
Beyond the approvals already published, eight additional Brazilian facilities remain under review, with expectations that they may soon be added to the list of authorized exporters.
The growing presence of Brazilian companies on Turkey’s official list strengthens market access and enhances predictability for the sector in trade operations with the Turkish market.
