Soybean exports from Brazil, the world’s leading producer and exporter of the oilseed, closed 2025 at a record 108.68 million tonnes, up 11.7% from 2024, according to data released on Monday (January 5th) by maritime agency Cargonave.
Larger shipments followed a record harvest in Brazil last year and strong purchases from China, which for much of the year avoided U.S. soybeans amid a tariff dispute.
Below is a historical overview of Brazilian soybean exports starting in January 2022. The chart was prepared using DataLiner data:

Soybean meal exports also reached a record level of more than 23.07 million tonnes in 2025, surpassing the previous high of 22.84 million tonnes recorded in 2024, according to Cargonave data.
Brazilian corn shipments, meanwhile, totalled 41.7 million tonnes last year, nearly 4 million tonnes above the volume recorded in 2024.
Brazil is one of the world’s largest exporters of soybean meal and corn.
