Data from Brazil’s Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) show that exports of eggs (fresh and processed products) totaled 1,606 tonnes in June, an 18.6% increase from May, driven mainly by purchases from Qatar.
This marks the third consecutive month of increased shipments, achieving the best performance since February. However, exports were still 65.8% below the levels recorded in June 2023.
The chart below shows egg shipments from Brazil each month, from January to May, every year since 2021. The chart features data from DataLiner, a maritime intelligence service powered by Datamar.

Regarding the domestic market, research by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) at Esalq/USP shows that liquidity remained low at the beginning of July, with prices varying little in most monitored markets.
On Friday (5/7), at wholesalers in Greater São Paulo, a box of 30 dozen white eggs had an average price of R$146, while a box of red eggs cost R$169.60, both prices remaining stable.
