The Brazilian Navy will inaugurate a Maritime Professional Training Center at the Port of Santos, on the São Paulo coast, on Monday (29) at 10 a.m. The initiative aims to provide training for the region’s port and naval sector.
The new building was constructed on the Navy’s dock between Warehouses 27 and 29, with access via Avenida Perimetral. The project is an initiative of the São Paulo Port Authority (CPSP) and was fully funded through a parliamentary amendment of R$3.9 million.
The facility features classrooms that can be converted into an auditorium, a cafeteria, accessible restrooms, and simulators for navigation and equipment operation. Sustainability is a highlight: a solar power plant ensures energy self-sufficiency, reducing both costs and environmental impact.
According to the Port Authority, the new center will meet the growing demand for training in the region’s port and naval sector.
In a statement, CPSP emphasized that the initiative “reinforces the commitment of the Brazilian Navy to professional training and development, based on navigation safety, the safeguarding of human life at sea, and the prevention of water pollution.”
