In the first four months of the year, Brazilian pork shipments reached 532,200 tonnes, up 14.2% from the same period of 2025, when exports totaled 466,000 tonnes. In value terms, cumulative growth reached 14.1%, with $1.244 billion generated between January and April this year, compared with $1.090 billion in the first four months of last year.
Among the main destinations for Brazilian exports in April, the Philippines remained in the lead, with 35,900 tonnes shipped, a volume 20.6% higher than in the same period last year. It was followed by Japan, with 16,600 tonnes, up 131.9%; China, with 11,800 tonnes, down 21.6%; Chile, with 11,100 tonnes, up 22.8%; Hong Kong, with 8,000 tonnes, down 34.3%; Vietnam, with 5,500 tonnes, up 44.6%; Argentina, with 5,300 tonnes, down 8.7%; Singapore, with 5,100 tonnes, down 24.3%; Uruguay, with 4,600 tonnes, up 12.7%; and Mexico, with 4,400 tonnes, down 40.3%.
“The international flow of Brazilian pork remains very positive in 2026, especially in Asian markets, which continue to expand demand for animal protein. We are seeing important gains in higher-value destinations such as Japan, in addition to the Philippines’ expanding role as the main market for the Brazilian sector. The positive performance across virtually all importing markets reinforces ABPA’s favorable outlook for this year,” said ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
