From January to October 2023, Secex data indicates that Brazil has already shipped over 1.6 million tonnes of fresh beef, down only 5% from the same period in 2022 when external sales reached record levels.
According to researchers at Cepea, as 2023 progresses towards its end, the national livestock sector is once again establishing itself as one of the world’s most important beef suppliers.
In October, external sales of fresh beef totaled 186 thousand tonnes, the second-best result for the month, according to Secex data, trailing only the record set last year.
