Despite the growth in volume, export revenue fell 11.9%, totaling US$699.4 million versus US$793.6 million in August last year.
Year-to-date results show a slight decline
From January to August, Brazilian shipments totaled 3.394 million tonnes, a slight 1.1% drop compared with the same period in 2024 (3.432 million tonnes). Revenue for the period reached US$6.308 billion, down 0.2% from 2024 (US$6.319 billion).
According to ABPA president Ricardo Santin, August’s performance reflects the stability seen since Brazil regained its avian influenza-free status, with prospects for growth thanks to the resumption of imports by Chile and the official reopening of the European Union.

For the first time, Mexico led the ranking of destinations for Brazilian chicken meat, with 37,500 tonnes shipped in August, a surge of 873.3% compared with the same month last year.
