Brazil’s exports to Kuwait rise 5.7%

Brazilian exports to Kuwait rose 5.7% from January to July this year compared with the same period last year, totaling USD 161.4 million. According to data from Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, compiled by the Market Intelligence team at the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), imports fell 71.6% to USD 14.5 million during the year.

The result increased Brazil’s trade surplus with Kuwait. The surplus reached USD 146.9 million year to date, up 44.8%. Total trade between the two countries, measured by the sum of all goods traded, fell 13.7% to USD 176 million.

Chicken meat was Brazil’s leading export to Kuwait, totaling USD 105.7 million, down 9.9% from January to July 2025. Iron tubes and profiles and corn were among the other leading exports, with sales increasing. On the import side, sulfur, ethylene polymers and propylene polymers were Brazil’s main purchases from Kuwait.

In July alone, exports to Kuwait totaled USD 21.7 million, down 19.1% from July last year. Imports rose sharply to USD 989,000.
