The Federal Police launched Operation Exportações Seguras I on Tuesday, the 4th, targeting corruption, tampering, and fraud in bulk solids exports at the Port of Paranaguá. Eight search and seizure warrants were executed across Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul, resulting in the seizure of vehicles and the freezing of bank accounts.
The investigation began after the arrest of a truck driver caught attempting to enter the Port of Paranaguá with a load of adulterated soybean meal.
Authorities are continuing investigations to identify additional individuals involved and to analyze the seized materials in greater detail.
