Brazil’s Pork Export Revenues Grow 45.2% in June, Reaching Historic Record

Brazilian pork exports (including all products, both fresh and processed) totaled 137.1 thousand tons in June, according to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). This result was 28% higher than the volume shipped in the same period last year, which totaled 107.1 thousand tons. It is the second-largest monthly volume ever recorded in the sector’s history.

The increase in revenue was even more significant. A total of US$341.6 million was recorded in June this year, representing a 45.2% increase compared to the same period last year, when revenues reached US$235.3 million. The result obtained in June 2025 is the highest ever recorded in the sector’s history.

In the first half of the year, cumulative exports reached 722 thousand tons, a volume 17.6% higher than the 613.7 thousand tonnes shipped between January and June 2024. In terms of revenue, exports rose to US$ 1.723 billion, a 32.6% increase compared to the same period last year, which had reached US$ 1.300 billion.

The main destination for pork exports in June was the Philippines, which imported 33.8 thousand tons, a volume 141.1% higher than that recorded in the same period last year. Next came China, with 15.4 thousand tonnes (-6.2%), followed by Japan, with 12.8 thousand tonnes (+27.7%), Chile, with 11.3 thousand tonnes (+55.3%), and Singapore, with 9.1 thousand tonnes (+0.1%).

Among the main exporting states, Santa Catarina led with 374.3 thousand tons exported in the first half of the year (+11% compared to the same period last year), followed by Rio Grande do Sul with 158.9 thousand tons (+21.29%), Paraná with 111.3 thousand tons (+38.81%), Mato Grosso with 18.5 thousand tons (+5.46%), and Minas Gerais with 18.4 thousand tons (+54.71%).

“There is a growing demand for Brazilian pork in various markets, including those with high added value. The behavior of the global market is projecting results that are even more positive than the expectations set by the productive sector in January, pointing to new records in both volume and revenue,” said ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
