Brazil’s soybean, corn, and meal exports exceed October projections, says Anec

Brazil’s soybean exports are expected to total 7.31 million tonnes in October, according to a new estimate released this Tuesday (14) by the National Association of Grain Exporters (Anec). The figure shows an increase from the previous forecast, which projected 7.12 million tonnes.
The upward revision reinforces the strong pace of soybean shipments in the second half of the year, driven by solid international demand, especially from China, the main destination for Brazilian soybeans.

Corn exports also revised upward
Anec also raised its corn export expectations. The estimated volume for October is now 6.46 million tonnes, compared with 6.06 million tonnes projected the previous week.
The positive revision reflects the strong domestic supply of grain and the robust pace of port shipments, driven by a favorable exchange rate and the competitiveness of the Brazilian product in the global market.

Soybean meal exports also increase
Another highlight is soybean meal, which also had its export projections revised upward. Anec now forecasts 2.06 million tonnes exported in October, compared with 1.92 million estimated the previous week.
The increase in exports of the derivative is linked to strong international demand for products used in animal nutrition, especially in Asia and Europe, as well as to the ample availability of raw materials in the country.
