Chile’s port system closed 2025 with a total throughput of 115,066,936 tonnes, driven mainly by strong export performance. Data consolidated by the country’s National Customs Service show 3.57% growth compared to the previous year, when 111.1 million tonnes were handled.

Of the total volume recorded in 2025, exports accounted for 64.3 million tonnes (up 1.3%), while imports totaled 50.7 million tonnes, posting a stronger increase of 6.6%.

Operational highlights by region

Customs statistics indicate that the Port of Caldera was the main outbound gateway for goods, handling 8.4 million tonnes. It was followed by the terminals of Patillos (6.1 million) and Huasco/Guacolda (5.1 million).
