The MV Yu Heng Xian Feng, a car carrier vessel owned by COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers and the largest of its kind in China, landed 3,838 vehicles manufactured in the Asian country at the Port of San Antonio, in the Valparaíso region in Chile.
The Chinese company highlighted that since the start of the pandemic, the ship has completed 26 trips, including eight for foreign trade, “actively contributing to the stability of supply chains for customers and helping Chinese car brands go global.”
In recent years, an increasing number of companies have been added to COSCO Shipping’s “frequent flyer list,” laying the groundwork for stable liner services to South America, according to the firm.
The products carried by the MV Yu Heng Xian Feng once included models of Chinese car brands such as Changan, Chery, JAC, Sany, LiuGong, and Dongfeng.
