CMA CGM appoints Giovani Grassi as managing director for Brazil

CMA CGM Group has appointed Giovani Grassi as managing director of CMA CGM Brazil, effective August 3, 2026.
In his new role, Grassi will lead the group’s ocean shipping activities in Brazil, one of CMA CGM’s key strategic markets in Latin America.
He will oversee the continued development of the company’s commercial and operational activities in the country, strengthen customer relationships and support the group’s long-term growth plans in Brazil.
Grassi joins CMA CGM Brazil from CEVA Logistics Brazil, where he held a leadership position in the company’s ocean freight organization.
He brings broad experience in shipping, logistics and international trade, with a track record of developing customer-focused solutions and leading high-performing teams.
Over the course of his career, Grassi has built deep expertise in Brazil’s logistics and maritime transport sectors. His experience and market knowledge are expected to support CMA CGM’s continued growth and its commitment to providing reliable and innovative transport solutions to customers across the country.
The appointment reflects CMA CGM Group’s ambition to further strengthen its presence in Brazil and continue supporting the country’s expanding role in global trade through its shipping, logistics and port activities.
