The president of the CODERN port authority, Nino Ubarana, welcomed representatives from FIERN and Mercosul Line at the company’s headquarters, where they discussed the implementation of a new shipping line at the Port of Natal.
CODERN and FIERN have been collaborating to showcase the potential of the terminal in the capital city of Rio Grande do Norte, engaging in ongoing discussions with major maritime shipping companies. Representatives from Marfret and Log-In, two prominent companies in the sector, also recently visited the port facilities in Natal.
Nino Ubarana emphasized the role of a new maritime shipping line and the Port of Natal for the state’s growth: “The development of any state hinges on a port. We are continuously working to boost activity at the Port of Natal, and we have formed important partnerships, such as with FIERN, which has been facilitating visits and discussions with entrepreneurs and corporate representatives, aiming to make them our future clients.”
In addition to CODERN’s CEO, the meeting was attended by the company’s engineer, Vinicius Cavalcante; Captain of the Reserve Maritime and Navy Commander João Ferreira Leal, representing the Brazilian Navy; Alexandre de Souza and Paulo Nascimento from Mercosul Line, serving as Director of North/Northeast and Executive Sales, respectively; FIERN was represented by Etelvino Patrício de Medeiros, Luiz Guedes, and Daniel Penteado; and Fernanda Beatriz, representing the Recycling and Disposable Industries Union of RN.
