This Monday morning, April 12, the Maltese ship WL Kirillov was involved in an accident with the fishing boat Vencedor III while leaving the channel in Porto Novo do Rio Grande.
In a note, the Brazilian Navy, through the Command of the 5th Naval District, informed that it is actively working to investigate the causes of the accident.
After the crash, three crew members of the fishing vessel threw themselves into the water when they realized that the boat would sink. They were rescued by the Pilotage of Barra do Rio Grande and were not hurt.
