AP Moller – Maersk Group and wind-turbine producer Vestas have entered into a long-term strategic partnership for the transport of containers, which includes door-to-door transport of the company’s suppliers to factories and service depots, as well as parts in shipping containers and equipment.
The partnership aims to serve the growing global market for sustainable energy solutions and protect profitability in an increasingly challenging environment for renewable energy. The initiative meets Vestas’ goal of continually seeking to mitigate the negative impact of current supply chain challenges, as well as efficiently scaling the business over the long term.
In addition, the agreement signed between the companies includes all air freight shipments. The partnership does not include road transport without containers and outward transport, which will continue to be managed by the Danish company DSV and other partners.
