Corrugated cardboard exports grow

The shipment of corrugated cardboard used in the manufacture of packaging had a record month in June, even surpassing the volume of June 2018, when there was a recomposition of dispatches after the stoppage of cargo transportation services in May of that year, informed EMPAPEL (the Brazilian association of paper packaging).
According to the organization, 329,757 tons of boxes, accessories, and corrugated cardboard sheets were shipped in June. It was also the 12th consecutive time that the year-on-year growth in the volume shipped set a new record, highlighted Empapel. The shipping volume per business day was 13,190 tons, also an increase of 12.8% year-on-year, as there was the same number of business days in June this year and 2020.”It is the largest volume per business day ever recorded for the month of June,” he informed.
