DataLiner: Export data for reefer and tank containers

DataLiner data from Datamar show that Brazilian reefer container exports increased in September compared to August, from 54,322 TEUs to 57,195 TEUs. In July, exports totaled 47,766 TEUs. The cumulative total for the first nine months of 2019 was 451,676 TEUs, compared to 438,678 TEUs in the same period of 2018. Reefer container exports in the Plate region fell in September (18,442 TEUs) compared to August (22,497 TEUs) and July (21,742 TEUs). Total exports to the Plate region between January and September were at 174,159 TEUs, compared to 165,552 TEUs in 2018.
In relation to tank containers, DataLiner data show that Brazil exported 2,998 TEUs in September, a slight increase over August, at 2,926 TEUs, and well above July, at 2,414 TEUs. In the first nine months of the year, exports totaled 25,319 TEUs, compared to 23,832 TEUs in the same period of 2018. Tank container exports in the Plate region in September rose to 1,044 TEUs from 921 TEUs in August and 736 TEUs in July. The total of the first nine months of the year is 7,454 TEUs. In the same period of 2018, the total was 7,399 TEUs.
