DataLiner data shows Brazil’s reefer exports improved in July, up 13.4% to 50,387 TEUs compared to June. For the first seven months of 2018, Brazil’s total reefer exports reached 326,179 TEUs, up 0.4% year-on-year. The Plate region’s reefer exports marginally decreased in July, down 0.6% to 20,781 TEUs compared with last year. Total reefer exports for the Plate region went up 6.3% between January to July period year-on-year, to 127,878 TEUs.
Dataliner data shows a significant jump in Brazil’s tank exports in July, up 22.1% to 2,804 TEUs compared with the previous month. For the first seven months of this year, tank exports improved slightly by 1.9% to 18,112 TEUs year-on-year. The Plate region’s tank exports showed a slight negative trend, down 0.2% in July compared with the previous month, to 856 TEUs. In total 5,614 TEUs were exported via tank by the region between Jan to Jul period of 2018, up 15.6% year-on-year.
