Embraer will receive R$1.09 billion in financing from BNDES to intensify the production of commercial aircraft destined for the foreign market, strengthening the pace of exports of the Brazilian manufacturer.

The third-largest aircraft manufacturer in the world will use the funds to meet the delivery schedule already established with international buyers. The loan was approved through the Exim Pre-shipment line, aimed at exporting companies, with interest composed of the financial cost, the BNDES rate, and the credit risk rate.

The company plans to deliver between 77 and 85 commercial jets in 2025, a number higher than recorded in previous years. Considering both commercial and defense production, 206 aircraft were delivered in 2024. Embraer’s CEO, Francisco Gomes Neto, states that the company is experiencing a “solid sales pace” and that the financing will allow it to increase production capacity.

BNDES President Aloizio Mercadante highlighted that Brazil is part of a select group of countries capable of designing, manufacturing, and exporting aircraft. According to him, the sector is strategic due to the high technology involved and its economic impact. Since 1997, the bank has financed more than US$26 billion in Embraer exports.
