Fire Breaks Out at Tubarão Port in Vitória, Quickly Contained

A fire broke out at Tubarão Port in Vitória on Monday night (10), with large flames and thick smoke visible in footage from the scene. The port’s emergency sirens were activated, and moments later, a vessel extinguished the blaze with water jets.
In a statement, Vale reported that a conveyor belt at the port caught fire Monday night but was swiftly brought under control by the company’s firefighting brigade. No injuries were reported, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
The Espírito Santo Fire Department was contacted by the Rede Tribuna press agency for further details but had not responded by the time of publication.
