First shipment of Russian fertiliser en route to Africa

The first shipment of fertilizer produced in Russia left the Netherlands on Nov 29 on its way to Malawi, Africa, under an export agreement previously negotiated by the United Nations, according to a spokesman for the UN secretary-general.
The shipment of 20,000 tonnes of fertilizer is the first in a series of exports to African countries in the coming months, said the spokesman, adding that the cargo will be sent to Malawi via Mozambique.
