Gantry crane runs over truck driver in fatal accident in Paranaguá

A truck driver who worked at the Port of Paranaguá died on the afternoon of June 18th, when he was hit by a rubber-tired gantry crane (RTG).
The accident took place in one of the terminal’s patios, which was later isolated in response to the occurrence.
According to the company that manages the Paranaguá Container Terminal, the accident happened with a third-party driver.
In an official statement, the company said that it already summoned the due authorities and that it is available to provide any of the necessary information so that facts can be dully investigated. Lastly, the company reinforced its feelings of solidarity with the family and that it will provide all the necessary support in these grieving times.
