HMM Brazil has announced a temporary change to the rotation of its FIL service, which connects Latin American ports to Asian markets. The adjustment centers on the Port of Rio Grande in southern Brazil, which will now serve as the final port of loading before the transoceanic crossing.
According to a notice issued on Feb. 2, 2026, the port itinerary— previously operated as Santos, Rio Grande, Paranaguá and Navegantes — will be reorganized to Santos, Paranaguá, Navegantes and Rio Grande.
The revised rotation will take effect with the arrival of the vessel Hyundai Tokyo 0161E at the Port of Santos, scheduled for Feb. 27. HMM expects the original rotation to be reinstated after the call of the vessel HMM Juniper 0003E in May 2026.
HMM advised customers to contact local sales teams for clarification on berthing windows and cargo cutoff deadlines.
