Fuel distributor Ipiranga invested BRL 80 million in its new operations base in the Port of Mucuripe. The unit is operated on a shared basis, through a pool with the company SP Combustíveis.
The development has six loading and unloading slabs for tank trucks, a telemetry system in all storage tanks; and dedicated gasoline and diesel pipelines connected to the pier at the Port of Mucuripe, whose supply of petroleum products will be by ship.
In total, the distribution base has a storage capacity of 21,600 m³, which will allow Ipiranga to expand its logistical capacity to take more liquid fuels not only to Ceará, but to the entire Northeast, also contributing to reinforce security of supply in one of the most strategic regions in the country.
“This new unit reflects the company’s commitment to promoting even more operational efficiency and long-term logistics. In addition, this investment increases our contribution to the development of the Northeast region and the communities that live around the operation”, says Sebastião Furquim, Vice President of Operations and Logistics at Ipiranga.
