Brazil’s trade flow with Israel accounts for 0.37% of the South American country’s imports and exports globally. Trade flow, in this context, refers to the sum of a country’s exports and imports of products.
According to the Comex Stat portal, operated by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), Brazil’s exports to Israel from January to September of this year amounted to $570 million, while imports reached $1.068 billion. Consequently, the trade flow between the two countries reached $1.638 billion.
Compared to the same period last year, Brazilian exports to the rest of the world totaled $253 billion, with imports at $181.7 billion. Thus, the global trade balance reached $434.7 billion by September this year.
The chart below compares container exports from Brazil to Israel and imports coming from the small country in the Middle East from January 2019 and August 2023. The data is from DataLiner.

On the import side, the primary product is chemical fertilizers, excluding crude fertilizers, making up 44% of imports, followed by insecticides, rodenticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators, disinfectants, and similar items, which account for 12%.
It’s worth noting that on Saturday, Israel experienced terrorist attacks from the armed extremist group Hamas and declared a state of war.
