Maersk starts operations at new APM terminal in Suape

Maersk said it began operating on Tuesday, September 1, at APM Terminals’ new terminal in Suape, in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco, through the services of Aliança Navegação e Logística.

The move to the new Maersk Suape terminal operation is intended to improve logistics efficiency and strengthen connectivity between Brazil’s Northeast and the rest of the country, the Danish shipping group said.

In a market statement, Maersk said the terminal has modern, sustainable and technology-driven infrastructure, which should bring greater speed, safety and reliability to its operations.

The company said it will continue serving customers through Aliança’s services and that the change will not affect service delivery.

Maersk also said the migration to the new terminal reinforces its strategy of improving operational efficiency and offering more sustainable logistics solutions.
