The Danish company stated it had not experienced any other disruptions to its scheduled operations in the region.
The Port of Haifa, which was privatized in 2022, is 70% owned by India’s Adani Ports, while Israel’s Gadot Group holds the remaining 30%.
Adani Ports is the port operations arm of the Adani Group, led by billionaire Gautam Adani. Including the Port of Haifa, the company operates four ports outside Indian waters.
A spokesperson for the Adani Group did not immediately respond to Reuters’ emails and text messages requesting comment.
Israel has been conducting airstrikes against Iran since last Friday (13th), describing the actions as an effort to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons. Iran has denied any plans to develop such weapons and retaliated with counterattacks against Israel.
On Thursday, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it had launched combined missile and drone strikes on military and industrial sites connected to Israel’s defense industry in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
