Market Opening for Brazil in Mexico
Jan, 28, 2025 Posted by Denise VileraWeek 202505
The Brazilian government announced that the Mexican government has authorized Brazil to export powdered and granulated eggs intended for animal consumption to Mexico.
This market opening may also increase bilateral trade by reflecting the high level of international confidence in Brazil’s sanitary control system.
In 2024, Mexico imported over USD 2.9 billion in agricultural products from Brazil, with highlights in the animal protein, soybean complex, forestry products, and coffee sectors.
With this announcement, the Brazilian agribusiness sector reaches 10 market openings in 2025, totaling 310 new business opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements result from joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
