The Brazilian government has concluded sanitary negotiations that will allow the export of new agricultural products to Mexico and the Philippines.
The authorization to export ground beef to Mexico strengthens the trade relationship and opens the door to a higher-value-added product aimed at retail companies and the food industry. The country imported more than US$ 3.1 billion in Brazilian agricultural products in 2025, with highlights including meat, forestry products, and soy complex goods.
In the Philippines, the opening of the soybean market expands export opportunities for one of Brazil’s main agricultural products and reinforces the country’s presence in the Southeast Asian market. The country imported more than US$ 1.8 billion in Brazilian agricultural products last year.
With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 539 new market openings since the beginning of 2023.
These results are the outcome of joint efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
