Market openings for Brazil in Togo
Apr, 23, 2026 Posted by Sylvia SchandertWeek 202617
The Brazilian government has concluded negotiations that will allow the export of bovine genetic material (semen and embryos) to Togo.
These openings create opportunities for Brazilian producers and for the provision of consulting services and technical assistance. In 2025, Brazil exported more than US$148 million in agricultural products to Togo, with highlights including sugarcane industry products, meat, and leather.
This new authorization adds to other recent market openings secured with Togo. In 2025, the African country also authorized the import of corn, brachiaria, soybean, and sorghum seeds, as well as live cattle and buffalo from Brazil.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 594 market openings since the beginning of 2023.
