The Pecém Complex has a new president starting this week. Max Quintino, previously head of the Civil House of the Government of Ceará, took office on Monday, December 23, following a meeting of the Board of Directors.
“I take on this new challenge with great gratitude for the opportunity given to me by Governor Elmano de Freitas and with the certainty that I have a significant responsibility in leading this important asset for the economy of Ceará. The Pecém Complex plays a key role in the Northeast and, soon, in Brazil and the world, with the installation of the green hydrogen hub,” said Max.
The new president holds a degree in Geography from the State University of Ceará (Uece) and a master’s degree in Public Sector Economics from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). In 2023, he completed the Boston Beyond International Program in the United States.
Max is also a public school teacher with extensive public administration experience. In addition to being the Chief of the Civil House, he has served as the superintendent of the State Department of Transit of Ceará (Detran-CE), director of the Ceará Central Supply Market (Ceasa), president of the Ceará Agropolos Institute, and director of the Ceará Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company (Ematerce).
