Four nations have opened their doors to five Brazilian animal protein items, announces the Ministry of Agriculture. Botswana has greenlit the import of bovine embryos and semen from Brazil.
The United States has authorized the entry of Brazilian gelatin and collagen. The Philippines has embraced Brazilian animal recycling products, while Mexico has agreed to import breeding animals from Brazil.
In January, nine fresh markets welcomed Brazilian agricultural products, setting a record for the month, according to the Ministry’s Secretariat of Commerce and International Relations.
The recent market expansions encompassed five countries across Africa, the Americas, and Asia.
The secretariat underscores that these advancements surpass the January 2018 milestone of eight markets opened and the previous year’s January figure of five.
“Since 2023, we’ve reached 87 markets in 43 nations,” noted Secretary of Commerce and International Relations, Roberto Perosa, in the release.
