Fertilizer maker Mosaic reported today that its first-quarter revenue was US$ 2.3 billion, a 28% growth compared to the same period in 2020. Sales volumes of phosphate and potassium increased during the first three months of 2021, the company said.
According to the American company, the current positive scenario in the world grain market encourages the use of fertilizers. “In China, prices continue to encourage the application of nutrients to increase productivity,” said Mosaic.
The company said it expects to see an improvement of $ 20 to $ 30 per ton in average prices in the second quarter compared to the first quarter of 2021.
