Motorcycle exports fell 13.1% in September to 4,872 units, a drop of 13.1% compared to the month of August when 6,607 units were shipped. But in comparison with September last year, exports grew 34.5%. From January to September, 42,765 motorcycles were exported, an increase of 79.8% compared to the same period last year (23,779 units).
The data were released on October 13th by ABRACICLO (the Brazilian association of manufacturers of motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, bicycles, and similar).
According to the organization’s president, Marcos Fermanian, the increase in business with the foreign market in 2021 is a direct reflection of the economic recovery of South American countries, after a period of crisis and the worst phase of the crisis caused by the coronavirus.
“It is also worth noting the popularity of Brazilian motorcycles in the US market, which proves the high added value of the national product,” he said.
