Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced an expansion of its coverage in Brazil with the launch of the 9BR feeder service, formally known as the Brazil North/Northeast Service. The route will be operated in partnership with Norcoast.
Feeder services connect regional ports to larger long-haul shipping networks, helping cargo reach international routes through a wider set of port calls.
“The addition of this route was designed to connect with our ANG, SX1, SX2 and LUX services. By integrating the ports of Salvador, Suape and Pecém into our network, we are opening new commercial opportunities for operations while also offering a new logistics alternative to serve the Port of Manaus,” the carrier said in a notice to customers.
The current service rotation will call at Santos, Paranaguá, Salvador, Suape, Pecém and Manaus before returning to Santos.
ONE said the service is dedicated exclusively to international cargo, meaning domestic cabotage cargo will not be accepted.
“This ensures greater agility and broader coverage across Brazil for import cargo,” the company said.
