TCP, the company that operates the Paranaguá Container Terminal, received in October the second Geely vehicle model to arrive in Brazil. The Geely EX2, an electric hatchback, is the top-selling model in the Chinese market — the largest and one of the most competitive in the world. The model coming to Brazil combines expressive design, smart technology, and everyday practicality in a refined package.
The vehicles arrived in Paranaguá on October 17 aboard the ro-ro (roll-on/roll-off) vessel Gold Xing, in an onboard operation coordinated by TCP. The vessel used the dolphin structure located at berth 218 of the Terminal, designed exclusively for mooring vehicle-carrying ships. Through this platform, the vehicles disembarked under their own power via the vessel’s ramps, heading directly to the terminal yard.
Offering infrastructure and well-established expertise in this segment, TCP strengthens its role through the strategic partnership with Geely, continuing the operations launched in June of this year with the Geely EX5 model. The new operation, now with the Geely EX2, followed the same procedures as the previous one, highlighting the terminal’s logistical efficiency.
In addition to light rolling cargo such as cars, TCP also handles large-scale project cargo, including buses, tractors, harvesters, and other special vehicles. This technical and operational capability reinforces the company’s positioning as a multimodal terminal, prepared to serve a wide range of logistical demands with excellence. The continuation of operations with Geely is a clear example of this versatility.
“The continuation of operations with Geely demonstrates the brand’s confidence in our structure and operational capacity. After the successful operation with the Geely EX5 model in June, we are now moving forward with the Geely EX2 to consolidate a strategic partnership. We continuously invest to offer complete, modern, and customized logistics solutions. Earning the trust of global brands such as Geely shows that we are on the right path, with infrastructure, innovation, and agility to meet the most diverse market demands,” says Giovanni Guidolim, TCP’s commercial, logistics, and customer service manager.
