Port Complex records over 15.7 million tonnes in 2025, and the Port of Itajaí grows 736% in TEUs

The Itajaí Port Complex closed 2025 with a total throughput of 15,725,109 tonnes. Of this total, the Port of Itajaí accounted for 4,763,245 tonnes, consolidating its operational recovery.
At the Port Complex, containerized cargo totaled 1,437,717 TEUs in 2025. The Port of Itajaí handled 366,089 TEUs, a 736% increase over the 2024 total.
The results reflect a joint effort focused on restructuring, planning, and institutional strengthening, as well as the productive sector’s confidence in the region’s port operations.
January 2026 maintains growth momentum
The start of 2026 confirms the positive trend. In January, the Port Complex handled 1,390,819 tonnes.
During the same period, the Port of Itajaí recorded throughput of 406,514 tonnes and 35,234 TEUs, a volume 33% higher than that registered in January 2024.
