The Port of Itajaí recorded revenue of BRL 64.4 million between January and April 2025, accounting for both the leased area (JBS) and the public quay. In April 2025 alone, revenue reached BRL 14.8 million — an increase of approximately 202.2% compared to the same period in 2024, when BRL 4.9 million was collected.

This performance reinforces the recovery of operations at the port complex, which positively impacts the city, including job and income generation, increased Service Tax (ISS) revenue, and growth in cargo throughput.
In 2024, the port reported total revenue of BRL 86.1 million. With new investments announced by the Federal Government, the port authority expects this figure to be surpassed by the end of the year’s first half.
“In this short period since federalization, we’ve already surpassed BRL 60 million, and by mid-year, we’ll exceed last year’s total revenue. The estimate for this year is BRL 180 million,” said João Paulo Tavares Bastos, the Port of Itajaí superintendent.
