Ceará State Docks Company (CDC) aims to alleviate truck congestion around the Port of Fortaleza in the Mucuripe neighborhood. To achieve this, CDC will issue an official notice, in which it will select logistical support areas for the terminal.
Last Friday, June 7, the CDC made public its intentions through a note in the Official Gazette of the Union.
The notice will outline the guidelines and rules for participating in the public call, detailing the necessary documentation and the minimum requirements.
“The public call aims to map areas that meet certain infrastructure criteria within 26 km of the Port of Fortaleza, where all trucks accessing the Port must schedule their appointments in advance,” said CDC CEO Lucio Gomes.
According to Gomes, the goal is to eliminate “the congestion and disruptions that frequently occur on the entrances by requiring trucks to have scheduled appointments.”
“While waiting for their turn, truck drivers can stay in locations equipped with safety and comfort infrastructure and perform various services,” he added.
