For the first time, Tecer Terminais will handle the shipment of 25,000 tonnes of granite between 25 September and 20 October 2025. During this period, three vessels — M/V Canelo Arrow, Zhong Yuan Hai Yun Kai Tuo, and Linden Arrow — will depart from the Port of Pecém carrying ornamental stone cargoes bound for Europe. The operation marks a new milestone for Tecer Terminais, the operational arm of the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex (CIPP S/A).
“This achievement is the result of work that began nine years ago, when Tecer Terminais exported just three tonnes of granite every four months. Since then, the company has established itself as a driver of the ornamental stone sector’s development, enabling operations that supported the expansion of mining companies in Ceará and boosting the entire production chain,” said Tecer Terminais’ Commercial Director, Carlos Alberto Nunes, who also highlighted the support of CIPP S/A’s commercial department, represented by Director André Magalhães.
This progress aligns with the strong growth of the ornamental stone industry in the state. As of August 2025, exports of ornamental stones — including granite — had already posted significant increases, with projections indicating the highest volume in recent years. The performance consolidated Ceará’s position as Brazil’s third-largest exporter in the sector, accounting for 4.2% of the state’s total foreign sales and on track to close the year with record exports.
In addition to granite, Tecer Terminais handles various types of cargo at the Port of Pecém, including OTR (off-the-road) mining tires, wind power components, project cargoes, containers, fertilizers in big bags, steel coils and plates, as well as solid and liquid bulk. The company also specializes in developing new projects, providing comprehensive logistics solutions within the Pecém Port Complex.
