The Santos Port Authority (APS) has extended the lease of the Brazil Terminal Port (BTP) area on the right bank of the Port of Santos for an additional 20 years after the current term expires (until 2047).
The extension was officially formalized this Tuesday (19/12), with the publication of the extract of the amendment in the Official Gazette of the Union. “Maintaining BTP’s operations at the Port of Santos is important for both the port and the Brazilian economy. Brazil Terminal Port stands out for its good logistics, technology, modernity, and the implementation of sustainable actions, starting with the location of its facilities, recognized as one of the main success cases of worldwide decontamination,” emphasizes APS President Anderson Pomini.
The lease contract for the BTP area at the Port of Santos originally expires in January 2027. With the extension, an area densification of 23.4 thousand m² is planned, along with the lessee’s obligation to make investments.
