Port of Vitoria completes unparalleled vehicle import landing

Another cutting-edge operation occurred at the Port of Vitória: the Log-in TVV terminal was home to an unparalleled process for landing vehicles in Brazil. More than 300 units from various automakers were unloaded, using flat rack and high cube containers, on the last working day of 2022.
In this innovative transport and cargo handling strategy, more than one-hundred 48-foot containers were used, specially made for stacking cars in the hols, as a crate. Each box holds three vehicles. The ship was the Tian Shou, designed as a carrier for project cargo and/or general cargo, owned by Cosco Shipping.
This is a particular operation, as it is common to transport cars on ships in the Roll-on Roll-off type when vehicles and machines enter and leave the vessel on their wheels.
The operation was a direct transfer between the city of Taicang, in China, and Vitória, in Brazil, totaling 38 days of lead time.
