The final day of the Intermodal South America event served as the stage for the announcement of a contract between Portos RS and RightShip, a leading digital maritime platform focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. The agreement aims to implement PortRisk, which will provide the necessary support for assessing and proactively managing risks related to ships accessing the port area.
According to the developer, PortRisk is considered a comprehensive risk management solution that enables active management in pre-arrival ship assessments and increases port operational efficiency. The system features a comprehensive database of maritime vessels, incidents, and complete ship histories, rigorously verified and continuously updated.
Cristiano Klinger, President of Portos RS, highlighted that the contract will enable the provision of more technology for the environmental and operational sectors of the ports. “This aligns with our vision of being a reference in port management and represents another step towards becoming the hub of the Southern Cone. Moreover, it is an important management tool, both in the operational sector and in environmental care,” he summarized.
Anthony Teo, Head of the Americas and Vice President of RightShip, described PortRisk as a transformative solution for port facilities and expressed pride in partnering with Portos RS. “We look forward to working closely with Porto RS and thereby helping the port authority improve its operational efficiency through effective risk management,” he said.
