On Thursday (28), PortosRio hosted the Executive Board of the Dominican Port Authority, accompanied by the Consul of the Dominican Republic, for a meeting focused on strengthening institutional relations and exploring potential commercial partnerships and technical cooperation agreements.
The meeting provided a valuable exchange of experiences between the Port Authorities and marked an essential step in the Brazil-Dominican Republic partnership. During the meeting, PortosRio CEO Francisco Martins presented the main modernization projects for the port infrastructure and investment opportunities in the ports under its management.
They highlighted the recently created International Port Development Association (IAPORTS), of which he is the Chairman of the Board.
IAPORTS, an entity open to all global port industry players, aims to strengthen international collaboration, promote business development, and foster innovation and sustainability in ports. According to Martins, “the association represents a milestone in the pursuit of greater global competitiveness, connecting partners and creating opportunities for the advancement of the sector.”
