Rail company Rumo reports 6% growth in June

Rail logistics company Rumo transported 6.78 billion tonnes per kilometer (TKU) in June 2023, up 6% year on year and 1.3% from the previous month.
According to the company, agricultural products accounted for 5.67 billion TKU in the month, with soybeans standing out with 3.38 billion TKU, followed by soy meal (947 million) and fertilizers (473 million).
Industrial goods amounted to 804 million tonnes per kilometer in June, with fuels accounting for 532 million and containers reaching 314 million TKU.
Rumo reached the mark of 20.3 TKU in the second quarter, an increase of 9% from one year ago and 26.4% over the first three months of 2023.
The company publishes on its website an update on the volumes transported through its rails every month on the 6th business day.
