BRF’s Marau (RS) and Concórdia (SC) plants have had their licenses renewed by the South Korean Ministry of Food and Medicine Safety to export poultry cuts to the Asian country. The authorization was received by the agricultural attaché of the Brazilian Embassy in Seoul, Gutemberg Barone de Araújo Nojosa, who sent the statement to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supplies. BRF already exports pork cuts to South Korea, which is one of the company’s main partners, along with China, Singapore, and Japan.
“The South Korean market is one of the largest consumers among Asian countries, and this renewal represents yet another achievement for the company”, says Bruno Ferla, Vice President of Institutional Relations, Legal and Compliance. The executive also points out that the company is prioritizing the Asian market to meet the growing demands of poultry and pork consumption.
Recently, the Concordia plant was also authorized by the Department of Animal Health of Vietnam (DAH) to export pork cuts to that country.
